NHL Point Streak Survivor Picks: Nov 2, 2026
By Shawn Stewart
Picks lock at 7:00 PM ET, when the first two games drop the puck. A point is a goal or assist in regulation or overtime, and shootout points don’t count. Here are today’s three plays from Last Board.
Yesterday: 8 of our 9 listed picks recorded a point, including McDavid (1 G, 1 A), Draisaitl (2 A), Kaprizov (1 G) and Carlsson (3 A). Only Tim Stützle was blanked.
SAFE: Nathan MacKinnon (COL @ CHI)
MacKinnon is the only player on a thin four-game slate with a 75%+ chance of a point, at about 78%. He has 24 points in 14 games and fires 4.1 shots per game, and his points over 1.5 is priced +115. Chicago allows 3.79 goals per game, 30th in the NHL. The risk is that he was held pointless in 3 of his last 10 games, and a lopsided win can trim his minutes. He’s about 32% owned. Use him if you lack a better top-tier option later. Otherwise, save him for a bigger slate.
FLEX: David Pastrnak (BOS vs VGK)
Pastrnak has about a 70% chance of a point and a floor of 0, with roughly 13% ownership. He has 19 points in 15 games and a point in 4 of his last 5, and Boston is going for a sixth straight home win. The risk is that he’s scoring on 16% of his shots (8 goals on 4.9 expected), so a cold finishing night leaves him pointless. Vegas could also get goalie Carter Hart back. He’s a good home-ice play that keeps you off the MacKinnon crowd.
TRAP: Anton Lundell (FLA vs DET)
Lundell had a hat trick last Friday, so his name is getting attention. The market prices him at only about 24% to score tonight, which puts his chance of a point near 55%. One big night doesn’t change his scoring rate. Skip him.
