Speaker 1: Hello everyone, this is Sean, the Strategist Steward, on this October 28th, 2026. Glad to have you on on this wonderful Wednesday night, whether you are watching on our YouTube channel, whether you're watching on Last Board, on our King of the Hill Survival Pool show on YouTube, and I'm also streaming on my personal X account. That is 586S with two S's. So in this broadcast, whether you're watching on video or audio, we're going to do a week 9 of college football Survivor, which I won my Survivor last week, so I am very happy. The first time I won it in 2 years. And then after that, we're going to do the week 8 of the NFL Survivor pool, and then, of course, we're gonna do a recap. So, we're gonna do a recap first, and then- So, what's gonna happen is we're gonna do a recap first, and then after that, we'll be faster for the preview of these- of the Survivor pools, okay? And you can also follow us at Last Board DFS. You can follow Last Board on board on social media at Last Board DFS. And then for the King of the Hill Survivor Pool show, you can follow on Last Board Show. That is B-O-A-R-D-S-H-O-W. Okay? So let us do the recap of the week 8 of the college football survivor pool. Because the 2 teams I did pick for my survivor pool was LSU and Alabama, while the other 2, because it was 3 people left. 2 of those entries I was faced against, they had Iowa. Iowa lost to Minnesota. One had Kentucky, and I think the other one, let me see, I think the other one had Alabama. So I think that one had Alabama and Iowa, and the other one had Kentucky and Iowa. So here's a recap of week 8. So University of Central Fe- Florida defeated second ranked BYU in second overtime. Cincinnati beat 8th ranked Texas Tech. Minnesota defeated 15 ranked Iowa. Wisconsin defeated 16th ranked USC, Illinois beat Oregon, South Carolina put a butt whoopin' on Tennessee by 3, so the South Carolina is on a hot streak. Texas survived against Ole Miss, so Texas won by a touchdown. The Hoosiers survive an advance against the Wolverines 13 to 6. Miami put a beat down against Pittsburgh 52 to 23, and then Alabama, who I picked, 31 to 20. And if you have any questions that you want to ask, you can feel free to put it on the comment section or email me at SeanS at lastboard.net. So that's my email address, and make sure you put a subject. Then we are doing the recap of week 7 of the NFL. So the popular pick was the Houston Texans, which they did lose to the Giants in overtime. JJ McCartney threw a pass, completing 20 of 28 for 252 yards. Scavetto ran for 124 and a touchdown. For CJ Stroud, he threw 2 touchdowns for Houston, and they lost. Then I did warn about the... Dolphins and Jets, and I said that game, I would not touch that with, so that was a great call. So... final score of that game was Miami 28-25. Malik Willis threw 2 touchdowns, and then Carolina put a, I don't know what type of performance. Tampa Bay did they thing against the Panthers, 43 to 13. Now, Bucky Irving, he had a great day because he ran for 2 touchdowns. Bryce Young threw for 2 interceptions, and he was sacked 5 times. Now, Minnesota, they did they ding. They beat the Colts 16 to 10. Denver beat Arizona 30 to 16. Rams beat the Raiders 35 to 21. Baltimore took a L against the Cincinnati Bengals. That was 35 to 13. That was without Lamar Jackson. Joe Burrow threw 4 touchdowns. San Francisco had a first loss against the Atlanta Falcons. I did took the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night before they played the Falcons. So 4 favorites lost outright in week 7, and 2 of the 3 unbeaten teams lost, San Francisco and Kansas City. Of course, they did lose to Seahawks 20 to 3. So, as of right now, the Vikings are the last one. Now, if you're old school, you should remember that the Seattle Seahawks used to be in the AFC West before they went NFC. So, there you have it for the recap. So, we are going to do college football first from the Power 5, and then after that, we're gonna go to the NFL, because right now, the regular season of college football is going to be over. So I'm going to give you something. I'm gonna show you something, so, and also, another thing, we also have the Survival Pool grid sheet, so you can get those in the link description below. It's a one-time fee of 15 dollars. You will love it. So not only is for, like, NFL college football, we also got it for the NBA, NHL, and March Madness. So after March Madness, it's gonna be a new year. All right? So let us start off with the Big Ten. I'm gonna start off with the Big Ten, and I'm going to share you some notes, okay? I'm gonna share you some notes as we are going through, all right? So, on our grid sheets, we have the team, opponents, win percentage, future value, EV means value, and then we project as how many people will more likely pick this team. Oh, wrong one, wrong button. Yeah. All right, so... So this is not gonna be too long. All right. So we got that. All right, so let me do that. All right, there we go. So there it is. So this is our grid sheet, okay? So we're looking at the Big Ten. So I want to look at, right now, we're going to look at Indiana and Minnesota. We got them at a, I'm gonna scan, go a little, go a little deep. So we got Indiana and Minnesota, so we got the Hoosiers at 92%. Now, with that game, as we're looking in our s- as a safe, so the Hoosiers are at home as a big favorite after overtime win at Michigan. Then if we scroll down, we're looking at... Northwestern at Oregon. So Northwestern has a 40%, while Oregon has a 60%. Now, that game, Northwestern is 6 and 1 and playing well, while Oregon is 4 and 3 after that Illinois loss because Oregon was on the road. Then we're looking at another big game. It is Ohio St- oh, here it is. Ohio State at USC. Now, for those of you who don't know that the Buckeyes do not have a quarterback just because Sam was injured, so right now it is a road game at USC, and this could be possibly a trap. So we got that as a save. Um, we got the p- as a pop as high, EV as mid, so this is the Ohio State Buckeyes. Trying to see what else. Is that all the games for the big t- Oh, here's another one you can also look at. You can also look at UCLA. We got UCLA at 93%, a home game against Nevada. We got them at 93. We got the EV at high, and we got them projected at low. So after Nevada, they got on the road at Minnesota, Illinois, a road game against Michigan, and then last game, a home game against USC in week 13, also known as the Liberty Bell game. All right, so that is the... Big 10. Now let's go over to the SEC. We're going to go with the SEC. All right, let's go over with the SEC. Let's share the screen. So, if you're on audio, you will have to go to the YouTube channel to even see t- to the our YouTube channel to even see this, okay? So let's scroll down. And let's share the screen, as I will do. Okay, there we go. Okay, so we are looking at the SEC. So... the Flo- so looking at Georgia, a home game against Florida, so we got Georgia as a projected 82%. We got it as a save, and then for the EV and pop, we actually got that as high. Now, that could be a possibly upset. So Florida has been inconsistent, but rivalry games are different, especially in the SEC, so please be mindful of that, because you can be the lowest team in the SEC and then pull off a upset. Then another one we're looking at for a safe is... No, I saw it. Texas. We got Texas as a 92%, as a win percentage, as a save, another one high, high. Now, Longhorns are at home versus a struggling Mississippi State, so you can look to them as well. I'm looking for another one. I think, well, that is, that's about it for the SEC. Now the next one we're gonna look at is the Big 12. We're looking at the Big 12. So let's... see, Big 12, Big 12, Big 12, Big 12. There we go. Big 12. This is something. Okay. It's loading up, so. Okay, there we go. So it's slowed up, so let me share the screen. Okay. All right. All right. So let's share the screen. All right, so now we're in the Big 12, so we're looking at a couple of games. Now, this is a big one, so we actually, this is Arizona and Texas Tech, so we got Arizona at 40%, while Texas Tech is a 60%. Now, both of these teams are 6 and 1. This could be a possible upset. Now, the Wildcats offense has been rolling because of Noah Fifa short line for a home favorite in the Big 12. And then another one you can also look at is the Utah Utes on the road against the Cincinnati Bearcats, as I did mention that there was an upset because Cincinnati just beat Texas Tech, and Utah right now is 7 and 0. So could Cincinnati pull an upset? We'll see. Then another one we're looking at is... University of Central Florida, a home game against Baylor. As I'm looking through it, I look, I got my notes for that. Okay, there we go. So this one, right now, University of Central Florida is a minus 1 and a half, so this looks like a pick'em, and when I say pick'em means more than one entry, whether you're playing like straight up or like a confident. So they're coming off that BYU win against the endo- double overtime, so please be mindful of that. As a matter of fact, we got that as a flex low, and then for the pop, we actually got that as a mid. And I think that's about it for the Big 12. Now we're gonna pull up for the ACC, Atlantic Coast Conference. Okay. So let me get rid of that, get rid of the Big 12, and then pull up the ACC Conference, and then the last one we got is the Mountain West Conference. Okay. Up, now I gotta pull it up. Okay, there we go. So, for the ACC, so we're looking at a safe for the ACC. We're looking at Miami, because right now Miami is a 85% on the road against North Carolina. So we actually got that projected as a save, high and high for the EV and pop because looks to me Miami got like a easy flow schedule before they go into the ACC Conference Championship. Okay? Then I'm looking at it. Yep, that's about it. That's about it. That's about it for the AC. That's the only one. And then the other one we got is... 'cause that is a save, is another one in the Mountain West is... Who is it? New Mexico at San Jose State. We got that at 86%. So Lobos are the clear Mountain West front runners at 6 and 1. So that is the Mountain West, alright? Now we got that out the way. Now we're going to head into the preview of week 8 of the NFL Survival Pool. So I'm going to share that screen of what the... grid sheet looks like, what the grid sheet will look like when you get it. Okay. And, oops, that's the wrong one. Because I did it, because I put it up yesterday. NHL, let's see. Okay, there we go, there we go, there we go. All right, there we go. So we're gonna load that one up, and we're gonna give you the games that you could pick, and there's one game this week that is a potential trap. So let's us scroll. All right. All right, so there we have it, and now we're going to share the screen. Okay, so here it is. So let us... talk about it. This is preview of the week 8 NFL Survivor Pool. So we're going to look at... as I got in my notes. So we're looking at, as you can see right now, is Cincinnati versus Tennessee. Now, the Titans are 1 and 6, and its 6 losses came by 13, 4, 5, 6, 23, and 3. Now, Burrow has completed 22 of 30 for 292 yards and 4 touchdowns in Sunday's game against Baltimore. Now, the Bengals 2 losses came by 3 and 5. Now, what could go wrong would be Tennessee has been closer lately. They won 26-20 at Indianapolis 2 weeks ago, and they lost to Cleveland by 3 on Sunday when Tony Pollard ran for 129 yards and 3 touchdowns. Now, the Bengals win over Tampa Bay and Miami came by 6 and 7, and the biggest favorite on the board has lost 2 weeks running. Now, the Bengals is 4 and 2 with Burrow and will be favored again, but 10 and a half is home against a 1 and 6 team is the kind of week to use that. Now, another one we're looking at is Jacksonville have a home game against the Colts. Okay, against the Colts. Now, the Colts have lost 3 straight and scored 10 points at Minnesota on Sunday, this Sunday just passed, when Daniel Jones threw for 108 and was sacked 4 times. Jaguars is 4-2 and coming off his bye, and his 2 biggest wins came at home, 34 fo- 3410 over Cleveland and 35-6 over the Patriots. Now, yesterday, the Colts traded 2 of his best players, defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the 49ers, and then guard Quinton Nelson, an 8-time Pro Bowler to the Seahawks. Now, what could possibly go wrong would be they're coming off the bye. Jacksonville's coming off that bye because the last game they played, it was international where they lost to the Houston Texans 34-31. That was in London, and its other 2 wins came by 5 and 2 points. Now, the Colts has scored 20 or more in 5 of its 7 games. So if since- if the Bengals is gone from your list or you would rather keep it, this is the pick. All right. Then we're also looking at, let's keep on going to the LA Rams and the Chargers. As you can see, we got them at 75%. Now, the Chargers are the only team that's 0 and 6. Now, they have not scored more than 23 points in the game. Stafford has threw 3 touchdowns against the Raiders, 35-21 at Las Vegas. Now, Rams are 3 and 4, and 3 of the 4 losses came by 4 points or fewer, including that 18-16 loss to the Cardinals as a 12 and a half point favorite. Now, the Chargers are coming off their bye week, and the two teams share a stadium, so the home field is the Rams, which is not surprised. So the Rams do have a lot of value. So they got 7, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, that's about it. So those games I mentioned are on the road in Washington in week 9, week 10 on the road against the Cardinals, week 12 as a home game against the Packers, week 15 a home game against the Cowboys, and then a road game against the Buccaneers in week 17. Now here's the game that most people was crying about because most people wanted to see the, the Steelers and the Brown ga- the Browns game because they are tied for first, and looks to me that Lamar Jackson is more likely going to be playing against the Buffalo Bills, and I have to say it more likely because these are two of the biggest names as far as, like, popularity. Okay? So, the Bills are 5-1 coming off this bye. The Ravens has lost 2 straight without Jackson, 13-10 at Cleveland, and then I just mentioned 35-13 to the Bengals. Now, according to the Ravens coach Jesse Minter, he was optimistic Jackson would play, and the injury report still lists him as questionable. Now, the Bills 5 wins came by 5, 10, 8, 3, and 3 points, and the game's total of 54 and a half is tied for the highest of the week. So Buffalo do have the easier weeks than this one, all right, because Buffalo do have a lot of value, and that's why we got that as caution. Then, as I did mention, is the Pittsburgh versus Cleveland game. We got Pittsburgh a 66 win percentage to beat the Browns. Now, Pitt- Cleveland's 5 and 2, beat Pittsburgh 4 weeks ago, 27-24. That was a Thursday night football game. Total is 39 and a half, is the lowest of the week, and low scoring games stay close, which I have a great feeling that will more likely would happen, okay? So, that game to me between those 2 is more of a pick 'em, so I would recommend not even selecting that. That's one of two. And the other one I also want to talk about is the... Dallas Cowboys, we're going to the NFC, a home game against the Arizona Cardinals. Now, the Cowboys beat Philadelphia without Jalen Hurts, 38 to 21. Now, with 3 touchdowns from Dak Prescott, because he had 155 rushing yards for Javonte Williams, and the Cardinals are 2 and 5. Now, 5 of his 7 have had 48 points or more, and this one's total 54 and a half is tied for the highest of the week. The Cowboys did lose to home to Tampa as a 9 and a half point favorite in week 5, and the Cardinals beat the Rams as a 12 and a half point underdog 2 weeks ago. So the Cowboys right now are 3 and 4. So when I look at the data grid, so they have a... week 9 on the road against the Colts, so they got 6, so they got that, then they got Tennessee in 11, a home game, a home game against the Eagles in week 12, because Monday Night Football, that was a road game. And they got a home game against the Giants, because you got to remember, they did play the Giants on Sunday night in week 1. All right? So, those are like 2 of the teams I would not recommend to even selecting if I were in the situation. So, I would not pick, I would not do it, have to do anything with the Cowboys and the Cardinals game, nor the Steelers and the Browns game. So that's like a no-no, especially, and I have a feeling that things could get ugly for that Browns and Steelers game because both of those teams are trying to get that number one spot, and I think the last time that the Browns have been first place was back in week 10 of 2014, if I- I- I believe, I want to say week 10 of 20 twen- 2014. That was when Johnny Manziel was the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns as a rookie, all right? So the teams I s- the team I selected for this week is Jacksonville and the New England Patriots against the Miami Dolphins, because the Patriots are on the road to face the Miami Dolphins. Now, I also want to say this. Now, if you have not heard of... I'm looking at it right now. It's the wrong, it's the wrong one. I was looking at Splash Sports social media page... because they just made the announcement. All right, so they just made the announcement. So let me... All right, let me hide that screen. So they just made the announcement, so that way you'll know. Oh, and by the way, you can use my promo code UUM2IX if you're a new player, and you can get 10 dollars credits when you enter a contest that is 10 dollars or more. Now, if you refer a new friend, it has to go through your referral, and they enter a contest that's 10 dollars or more, you and your friend will both get 10 dollar credits. So if- and here's another one. So let's say if the contest was like 5 dollars and you put 3 entries, that make it 15, you can also get that as 10 dollar credits as well. So... according to Splash, on the 21 million dollar Survivor World Championship, the top 5 unused teams are the Bears, Packers, Seahawks, Giants, and the Browns. Those are the 5, top 5 unused teams. And then a Survivor World Championship entry just sold for a whopping 55,890 on Splash's entry marketplace. Yes, they do have that. This is the first year they've been doing that. And then there was a record sale on the marketplace. Multiple entries in the 21 million dollar Survivor World Championship have sold over 39,000 dollars following week 7. Unbelievable. Then there was another one, 42,500. That was like 100%. Uh, 41,000. Another one was 39,000. Awesome. And you can get these on the 21 million, the 3 million, the 1 million, uh, the 500K, 250K, 100K for 5 and 4, we- uh, week 2, and then Sharp, and then another one called The Ripple. So you can get those... Survivor picks in the entry marketplace. So that's a great idea. That's a great idea. That's something to be a different- be different. So... Wow, what a wonderful week, man. I- I won my college football survivor pool, like I said earlier ago. So in 2 years, and that was the first time I ever played where I had to pick 2 teams from week 1. All right, and then it ended in... Saturday, this past Saturday, because I was watching both games, because I was watching Texas A&M and Alabama, and then... Iowa and Minnesota. I was watching both games on YouTube TV because I sure as heck was like, please, please, Minnesota kick that, and of course they won that game. So congratulations to the Gophren Gophers for putting an upset against the Iowa Hawkeyes. Gotta love college football. So we will see you guys next week, and like I said before, you can get our s- grid sheets on the link description below, and not to mention, you can also listen to us on the audio version on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and All Hat Radio, and Castos, C-A-S-T-O-S. So, you guys have a nice, wonderful weekend. So, take care, alright?
